What Is The HIVE Hiding?
Recently, Trischool students have been reporting feeling vibrations in certain parts of their respective campuses. To investigate this phenomenon, the Snooze went undercover around campus. Specifically, the Snooze investigated the new HIVE “makerspace”, where the woodshop and robotics lab are located. Leo Eiswert ‘26 thwarted our initial incursion by loudly pointing out his sculpture projects.
Despite our failed attempt, the Snooze was determined to figure out the cause of these mysterious rumblings. On our second investigation attempt, this time without Leo, our team managed to sneak into a lower school class in the HIVE and continue our undercover snooping. Interestingly, there is an unmarked door in the back right corner of the HIVE. Upon opening this door, our investigative team found two passageways, one marked “BMS” and the other marked “RPCS”. There was also evidence of heavy machinery, such as revolutionary DeBoering machines, that were likely used to create this elaborate labyrinth.
Unfortunately, our team had to flee the tunnels after we heard female voices coming from both ends. A member of the crew, who requested anonymity, told the Snooze, “We were hoping to figure out what the tunnels were used for. If only we weren’t so scared of girls.” One can only speculate on the true purpose of these tunnels. Many students believe that they are tunnels for the Raiders to use for nefarious purposes, while other, more optimistic students believe they will soon replace the bridges as the primary route of travel between the trischools. Only time will tell if these theories are confirmed.
